The Experimental school of the U of P was
founded in 1972. Initially it was housed in a
building in the city centre of Patras. In 1988
a building was erected in the University
campus (in Rion suburb), 6 km away from the
city centre.
Pupils are chosen by lot at the kindergarten.
A draw, where only kids from Patras municipality
are allowed to participate, takes place once a year.
As soon as they finish their 6 year studies at
Primary Education, pupils have to take exams to
enter the Model Experimental High school. If they
fail, they can be enrolled in another Secondary
Education school of their neighbourhood.

got an interactive whiteboard.
